Frequently asked questions
Only solid, uniformly coloured blocks that a player can place: the full concrete range, wood planks, stone types, sandstone, and mineral blocks like gold, diamond and emerald. Blocks with busy textures are excluded because they read as noise from a distance.
For photos and portraits, yes - it blends the limited block palette into smoother shading. For logos, flags or pixel-style artwork, turn it off: those have flat colour areas that dithering would speckle unnecessarily.
The tool shows the exact total and a per-block breakdown under the preview. A 64-wide build of a square image is around 4,000 blocks; use 'Copy list' to take the quantities with you.
Build it flat on the ground or vertically as a wall. Work row by row from one corner using the PNG as your reference. Building vertically usually gives the best viewing angle for a portrait.
