Create a QR code blended with your own image. The code is generated at the highest error-correction level, which lets roughly 30% of it be obscured while still scanning - that headroom is what makes artistic QR codes possible at all.

Frequently asked questions

Usually, but you must test it. The tool uses maximum error correction and keeps the three corner markers solid by default, which is what scanners lock onto first. Push the image strength too high and some scanners will fail - always test the downloaded code with a real phone before printing it.

Those three squares are the finder patterns. A scanner uses them to locate and orient the code before it reads any data. Blending them into the artwork is the single fastest way to make a beautiful code that nothing can actually read.

Higher error correction means less room for data. At the maximum level used here, a QR code holds noticeably less than at lower levels. Long URLs still fit comfortably - if you hit the limit, use a shorter link.

Larger is safer. For a poster or flyer, export at 1200px or above. As a rule of thumb a printed code should be at least 2cm across for close scanning, and much larger if people will scan it from a distance.
